Medica

Medica is a blend of brandy made from whole varietal grapes and two types of honey: linden honey and chestnut honey. Our story began with medica – our father made medica from his own honey and recipes from old Sušak beekeepers, and we, his sons, continue making it today (still using our father’s homemade honey). This famous Kvarner aperitif is associated with numerous legends connected to love and passion. Our favorite is the one that says the very term honeymoon comes from the Croatian tradition of gifting newlyweds enough medica for their first month of marriage.
